eBASE® is high level middleware that connects legacy mainframe application data with various client platforms, including web servers, PC workstations, interactive voice response (IVR) and ATM networks. Reusable components on the mainframe server interactively access and update data by communicating with reusable components on the client platform. The client components provide a common API for your application presentation layer regardless of the client platform. Communication methods supported include:

• TCP/IP using CICS Sockets and WinSock
• CICS Transaction Gateway from IBM

The mainframe server components of eBASE® consist of parameter driven reusable code that provide the processing for many common application tasks including security, interfaces, searches, reporting, menus and screens. The system uses proven, proprietary mainframe based data definition and accessing technology to deliver data to a traditional 3270 terminal network or you can use the middleware components to deliver data interactively to clients running on other platforms.
