POOLED FUNDS MANAGEMENT
Computrol's Pooled Funds Management system is an integrated system that manages pooled investment funds of state
and regional governmental units and university trust funds. PFM's versatility allows a participant to have multiple
accounts that can invest in multiple products. For convenience in servicing the client, the account information is
summarized at the participant level.
PFM Benefits
Maximize returns - PFM allows state
governments to provide a needed investment expertise to smaller state government units and state educational
institutions. Most of these entities cannot afford to staff their own researchers and investment advisors.
While participants benefit from the services of the state's professional money management, the state not only
generates fee income for their services but also maximizes investment returns with higher rates for larger blocks
of money. |
Augment participant service - PFM helps the
state government offer convenience to their participants. Using user designed searches, information requested in
response to phone or e-mail inquires is accessed rapidly. Participants can opt to purchase and sell in dollars or
shares. Correspondence and statements are user designed and can report information in an easily read and
understandable format. |
Increase control - PFM increases control
through flexible options and automated tasks. Using parameters, the state can readily define processing controls,
management reports and participant correspondence. Rejected items are displayed for review, corrected and
resubmitted for processing, deleted or held for further research. Correction processing eliminates the manual
effort of multiple transactions. |
