KITING DETECTION SYSTEMComputrols mainframe-based Kiting Detection System (KDS) and PC-based Kiting Management System (KMS) provide a quick and affordable means of identifying check kiting schemes. The Kiting Detection System is the premier kiting detection system which has been used for 20 years to detect kiting problems in more than 1,000 banks.
For a graphical view of the Kiting Detection System processing, see The Kiting Detection System Processing Chart. ReportingThe Kiting Detection System generates a single report which listing accounts which have the characteristics of a kiting scheme. Reports can be generated at bank or branch level, depending on how your account information is processed. The Kiting Detection System examines each account for the pattern of a kite - a pattern which is established only over an appropriate period of time. The bank chooses which types of accounts to examine and the values for test criteria. Suspect accounts can then be further examined to see if a kite is in progress. The Kiting Detection System analyzes the activity volume and velocity of funds in hundreds of thousands of accounts in seconds. Reports provide concise details on all suspects, along with balances, summaries, statistics on the number of accounts eliminated by each parameter and the total number of accounts on the report. The mainframe version creates a data set to download to the PC version for further analysis of the suspects. Multiple options are available to view the suspect list. The parameters can be changed and the results viewed on the screen. Suspects can be sorted to show the largest potential losses first. More InformationRead more about the Kiting Management System.
